Message from representatives of JLAC

Dear APLAC delegates and colleagues,

It is our great honour that Japan Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (JLAC: JAB, JCLA, VLAC and IAJapan) will host the 16th APLAC General Assembly and the relevant meetings from 4-10 December 2010. This will be the 2nd time that the APLAC General Assembly meetings are held in Japan; last time the meetings were held in Tokyo, and this time we wish you to visit our exciting city Osaka where Japan first met the world.

On behalf of JLAC, we would like to extend a warm welcome all of more than 100 delegates and stakeholders. We hope this event would be a valuable opportunity for delegates to have discussions and exchange of ideas and experiences to enhance harmonized implementation of the accreditation, international cooperation and promotion of Mutual Recognition Arrangement under APLAC.

To kick-off the meetings, a welcome reception is planned on the evening of 6 December 2010 for all delegates. A farewell dinner is also planned on 9 December 2010.
